RE: Gwidon Homes & Renos WORKMANSHIP

When we purchased our 1929 small (1,200 SF) cedar shingled home it was with a view of immediately renovating from top to bottom. What we soon discovered was that finding a reputable contractor for such a major project was no easy task. After many months of searching and reviewing over a dozen different proposals and quotes we decided that Gwidon Homes & Renos would best provide us with the quality of workmanship that would both maintain and enhance the charm of our home; they did NOT disappoint.

Our renovation literally required the house to be cut in half. In adding over 750 SF of living space every element of the home was upgraded to 2003 standards including: windows, furnace and heating, electrical, plumbing, insulation, flooring, roofing etc... It was very important to us that the renovation mesh seamlessly with the older parts of the home and Gwidon Homes & Renos did an excellent job. As with any major project our renovation changed and grew. Gwidon and his son Rafael were always available to address our comments and needs. Also, the subtrades hired by Gwidon Homes & Renos all did excellent work. Our special thanks should go to Troy and John who worked daily on our home and were always a pleasure to deal with.

Since moving back into our home we have had many complements on the quality of workmanship from visitors and are very pleased with the end result. Our little 2 bedroom 1 bathroom home is now equipped with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a finished basement.

We certainly would hire Gwidon Homes & Renos again and would not hesitate to recommend Gwidon Homes & Renos to anyone contemplating a remodeling or building project.

Approximately two years ago Gwidon Homes & Renos refurbished our whole house from top to bottom. Our kitchen had new tiles, countertop, cabinets, lights, and vanity put in. There were walls demolished to make a new large bathroom. We had new shingles and siding put on our house. There was a new deck built as well as flower beddings. This was an extremely large job and we have been very pleased with the construction work performed by Gwidon Homes & Renos Ltd. "Over the past three years we have contracted Gwidon Homes & Renos to do various renovations in our home in Sherwood park, Alberta. We were so pleased with the first design and quality of work which included removal of walls, repositioning electrical outlets, drywall and taping, braces in ceiling and light fixture header for track lighting, that we decided to do more! Since then, Gwidon Homes & Renos has replaced kitchen and front landing flooring (lino tiles), ceramic tiles in shower (walls), new sink countertop in bathroom (included repair of backing wall and all plumbing), and removal of a closet dividing two bedrooms, reconstructing the walls and building in shelves with a recessed lighting fixture. He has also replaced all our baseboards and door and window casings, removed a dining room wall (more electrical and drywall) and installed wood spindle railing. There does not appear to be any aspect of renovation that this gentleman CANNOT do. He is very organized, works quickly, neatly, and with a minimum of disruption in our home while construction is in progress. Our next project is to cut an outside wall (stucco) and install two windows, which we sincerely hope that Gwidon Homes & Renos will contract to do for us.
